This project provided for the study and conservative restoration of three paintings that survived neglect and the earthquake. Recent studies made it possible to attribute the paintings with certainty to Massimo Stanzione and Giovanni Battista Gamba.
After their restoration, the canvases were first put on display at the National Gallery of Ancient Art of Palazzo Corsini (Rome) and then, after their return to Pescocostanzo, they became part of an exhibition sponsored by the Municipality. The initiative was included in the summer 2014 programme of the municipality. Significant contributions towards the success of this project were made by:
Associazione Altipiani d’Abruzzo
Banca Credito Cooperativo di Roma
Federazione Italiana Tabaccai
Pro Loco di Pescocostanzo
Studio Legale Ghia Roma-Milano
Cost of the project: €87,000.00
