A detail after the restoration
The three paintings of Chiesa di Gesù e Maria in Pescoscostanzo – Immacolata Concezione, by Massimo Stanzione, Il Perdono di Assisi and Sacra Famiglia con Sant’Anna, by Giambattista Gamba – came back to their origin town.
On the August 2nd 2014 the exhibition “Lungo la via degli Abruzzi – Un restauro per Pescocostanzo –Massimo Stanzione e Giambattista Gamba nella Chiesa di Gesù e Maria” will be inaugurated in the Auditorium San Nicola.
The guests will be:
– Pasquale del Cimmuto, Mayor of Pescocostanzo
– Lucia Arbace, Superintendent BSAE of Abruzzo
– P. Carlo Serri, Minister of the province of Frati Minori of San Bernardino from Siena
– Francesco Sabatini, Honorary President of Accademia della Crusca
– Floriana Conte, Salento University
– Anna Colangelo, Superintendent BSAE of Abruzzo
– Giulia Silvia Ghia, CEO Verderame progetto cultura
The paintings will be showed during the entire month of August at Palazzo del Fanzago, before to be relocated in the Church.
During the event the following volume will be presented:
